Amazing birds, one of(if not my) favorite birds. Amazing shot.

Great photo! I love bald eagles, they're finally coming back to the area I live.

Thanks! The two they have at the zoo are injured, but we have a few wild ones in the area and a nesting pair about a half hour from where I live.

That's really cool! We have one breeding pair I know of.
The cool thing that we have is LOTS of peregrine falcons, I've seen two nesting pairs and every year more males are released locally to support the population.

I think there are a few peregrines in the area, but I have never seen them or anything. My sister lives in Pittsburgh and they have a falcon cam for the local nesting pair that nests on the Cathedral of Learning every year.

There's a nest cam on one of our buildings here, and the Mayer used to put on a helmet and tag the chicks every year. I also know of a nest on a building in San Fransisco but it's not publicly known.

They tend to fly really high, on occasional I'll look up and seeing the silhouette of one, but I've only really seen one up close once when a pair landed across the street from my house, they had been fighting but then they stopped to hang out together so I assumed it was another pair.

I usually only see Red Tails, Coops, Sharpies, occasionally Kestrels (Though there are a lot more Kestrels than I actually see), and Bald Eagles. Not too much else though.
