Aww I love baby owls, they remind me of some kind of creature from the Muppets.

This is the first baby owl I have been around. He has been really cute so far, besides last night when he decided to practice his pouncing on my face while I was sleeping...

He would sleep on the pillow next to my head which was really cute! I did not appreciate the pouncing or the many times he pooped on me though.

Aww that would be cute, but I don't think I would enjoy the poop every where, it is bad enough when they are confined to one area.

Yes, at themoment, he goes with us everywhere and lives in the house. In the next week, he will start sleeping in a transport box like all the other birds do at night. He is about a foot and a half tall and weighs about 3 pounds right now.

Hes not to tiny then :aww: Thank you for explaining it to
me. I would like to ask you a question? Birds that are in
captivity, like owls, eagles, hawks ect. Would they go into
a birds of prey folder? I would appreciate any help.

In hebrew, the word for owl, Kos, is the same word for cup, as they, unlike other birds, stand upright.

He looks like he's just come out of the dryer. His look is not so much a "Hoo" as a "What?"

Great photo!

Sadly, this little guy had been found in someone's deer stand. They said they parents were not feeding it, so they started to feed it instead. They handed it over to a rehab friend of ours, who handed him over to us. He will grow up to be a great hunter with us.

As long as he gets the gentle touch and loving attention he'll do great.
